Dade County, Florida Federal Census Notes from transcriber: Sandra Willis The 1850 Dade County Federal Census was taken between the 24th and 30th of July by W. C. Maloney. The first page of the census is very faded and washed out, making it very difficult to read. On Page 87a Lines 14 - 20 are bracketed and this note is added " Light Ship on Carysford Reefs". On page 87b Line 4, the Occupation was so long that it would not fit in the space provided, so I added it as a Remark. On Page 88a starting on line 14 and continuing to the end of the census, these lines are all bracketed and this note added " Garrison at Miami River". It lists all the Soldiers and Officers of the Fort.
