T. Crabb, Assistant Marshall, who began the Census on June 2, 1870. His name appears on page 257A, the beginning of the Census. The data base contains 8351 people, however, several pages were badly faded, illegible and were not included. The location identification within the County was the Community Post Office. This identifier is placed at the beginning of each printed page. The Enumerator's written page numbers were difficult to follow and not consecutive. These numbers were placed in the Remarks area of the page. Despite our best efforts, the Proofreaders and I were unable to translate every name on the Census. Questionable spellings were identified with an asterisk. Alternate spellings are provided under remarks. In the interest of accuracy, I would invite viewers to contact me if they find errors or want to correct a spelling. Email: jevet@swbell.net R.
