The TRANSCRIBER'S REMARKS column is annotated with the city directory spelling for surnames in question. Several people listed in 1920 city directory are not on this census. True, they may have moved. Decide for yourself regarding information from the 1920 Central Falls/Pawtucket city directory. It is only a second source of data. Col 6-the ' x ', after Head, may be a plus sign. Frequently, this enumerator transposed the info in cols 26 and 27. ie., Col 26 Occupation of Laborer was written in Col 27, and Col 27 Industry of Mill was written in Col 26. This enumerator's handwriting is not as bad as others, but he is not a good speller.
