The river rose 3 7/12 feet above its usual height. The county of Clark is a lush agricultural county. most of which however is heavily timbered with fir, cedar, maple, ** with dense under brush, soil of first quality. The land chiefly cultivated all between Counties. Cowlitz County is also an agricultural county somewhat mountainous soil ******
