The soil a rich yellow loom. The seasons are generally short; with hot summers and cold winters and snow to a considirable extent. This county being organized this present year. No taxes* have been levied and public records for my reference. My District is Mountainous and heavily timbered; with varieties of pine and some birch interspersed through fertile valleys. ***** discovery's of Gold have been made but to what extent I am not duly informed.
